LEARN MORE

Kumusta, we’re Istorya! Filipino cuisine has been shaped by a blend of cultural influences, including Chinese, Spanish, Muslim, Mexican, American, Malay, Japanese, and Indian influences. At Istorya, we bring these chapters of our history to life through food and storytelling at our pop-up dinners.

Based in Las Vegas, we are a pop-up restaurant, creative agency, and cultural storytelling hub. Join us on this culinary journey through time.

Threads of Tradition: Yakan Weavers of Mindanao

Our short documentary won Best Micro Film at the Las Vegas Filipino Short Film Festival. The film centers on the Yakan people, a Muslim Filipino ethnolinguistic group from the Sulu Archipelago, and follows everyday life shaped by craft, labor, and continuity.

Previously we screened this film alongside others as part of our Sulu pop-up dinner series, where each course is paired with documented histories and living food traditions.

  • "The opportunity to enjoy dishes from Zamboanga and Sulu, which are not widely known, was both new and unique. Thank you for inviting us. We wish you the best of luck with your future events. I have gained valuable insights from this experience."

    Jomito T. | Sulu Pop-Up Dinner

  • "Flavors were explosive and modern. Loved the stories behind the food. The chef came out and shared her vision: a taste of home comfort foods elevated and modernized. She knocked it out of the park!! Our whole party enjoyed every single dish!!"

    Susan M. | Binondo Pop-Up Dinner

  • "We can’t wait to be served another installation of this brilliantly designed dinner series celebrating the vibrancy of Filipino food and its evolution through time. Go to the website, sign up and get ready for some delicious storytelling.”
